Elizabeth Garner

WELCOME to SECOND GRADE!! My name is Liz Garner and this is my 21st year of teaching. I’ve taught the entire time in Pickens County. I love it here, and our children have a very special place in my heart. I currently teach ELA within my team.

I am originally from Bowling Green, KY and moved to Jasper in 1994 where I graduated from Brenau University. I received my Masters from Piedmont College in 2005.

My family and my school kids are my whole world. I am married and we have four kids combined. Reagan (21), Seth (20), Dalton (19) and Rowan (15). We also have two beloved fur-children who are also considered family. J Lily (Yorkie/Maltese) and Otis (Frenchie).

I am very thankful to be able to do what I love for a living. I love to communicate with parents and work as a team, and I want to thank you for entrusting your precious children into my hands. I feel very strongly about getting to know them as individuals and teaching them in a way that works best for them. If you wish to contact me, feel free to call the school and leave me a message or email me at elizabethgarner@pickenscountyschools.org. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year!!
